Competition for Young Nature Photographers

The Irish Natural Forestry Foundation is a registered charity established in 2002 to research, demonstrate and promote economically, socially and environmentally sustainable forestry in Ireland.

There are 3 age categories:

1. Under 10 year old
2. 0 to 14 years old
3. 15 to 18 years old

Photographs may be submitted as prints of 8” x 10” by post to the address below or as high resolution digital photographs with a maximum file size of 3MB to the email address below.
There are 3 prizes for each category:

  • 1st €100
  • 2nd €50
  • 3rd €25

The winning photographs will be displayed at Manch during Biodiversity Day celebrations and the prizes will be awarded to the winning photographers on May 18th.
The competition judges will be:

  • Mike Brown, nature photographer
  • Lynn Wright, artist and environmentalist
  • Marc Holden, photographer.

The closing date for entries is Wednesday April 30th, 2008.

Photographs with an accompanying entry form may be posted to INFF, Manch, Ballineen, Co. Cork or emailed to enquiries@inff.ie.

In association with a series of events nationwide to celebrate Biodiversity Day, INFF will host a day of walks, talks, workshops and more. These will take place within the Manch Estate’s beautiful 300 acres near Ballineen on Sunday May 18th, 2008.

As part of this exciting day we are calling on all young photographers to take part in a competition. The theme of the competition is Biodiversity in Ireland.
