Updated Funding Bid Success & EGM Notification

We have recently been notified of grant approval for 3 exciting new projects:

  1. A Community Orchard & Nutgrove for Skibbereen.
  2. A Pilot Project to reduce the amount of Textile Waste going to Landfill
  3. Feasability Studies for an Anaerobic Digester Biogas CHP plant to be coupled to a Commercial Heated Horticulture Operation both we would advocate to be in Community Ownership.

In order to help us proceed with these projects without delay it is necessary to hold an EGM to put our new proposed steering group officers in place, this meeting will take place at 6.30pm Thursday 17th December at the offices of Bantry Harbour Commissioners, Wolfe Tone Square, Bantry. There will also be a short presentation on the projects. We plan to have a full AGM early in the New Year where a full presentation will be made on all Sustain's current & planned future activities. If you plan to attend the EGM please email matt@sustainwestcork.com asap as it will be useful to know how many members are going to attend.

Information about the projects and the coming AGM will be advertised and circulated to you over the next couple of months as the relevant details get confirmed. We are very happy to welcome our new board members and hope that some of you may also wish to join the Sustain West Cork team and become involved with some of the exciting projects and opportunities being offered to us here in West Cork.

We apologise for the short notice.
