Sustain West Cork Going Forward – A Workshop Review of Vision & Objectives

1.   Sustain West Cork Going Forward – A Workshop Review of Vision & Objectives

Sustain is embarking on a new phase in its development.  In order to make sure that we are on track and fulfilling our vision, we’ve decided to revisit our objectives and priorities for the next 3 years.  We’ll also look at the kind of structure that we need to have as an organisation which will give us the best possible chance of success.

This review will be partly done by focusing on the existing constitution which is likely to need some updating to reflect current and future plans.  A copy of the current constitution is attached.  Please read it before the workshop

We’d like to ask you to the review workshop on 6 February between 10.00 and 12.30 at the Harbour Commissioner’s Office, Bantry, beside the Tourist Office.

Can you please tell us by email and by 29th January at the latest if you are going to be able to come or not.  It would be great if you could do so as your contribution as a member is highly valued.

2.    Film Viewing of In Transition will follow the workshop (accompanied by a light lunch bring food to share).

‘In Transition’ is the first detailed film about the Transition movement filmed by those that know it best, those who are making it happen on the ground. The Transition movement is about communities around the world responding to peak oil and climate change with creativity, imagination and humour, and setting about rebuilding their local economies and communities. It is positive, solutions focused, viral and fun.

We will be taking 'In Transition' on tour in the coming months.
